A new Threespot tradition

Daily Commute
I’ve been trying to bike to work a lot more lately, partly because I hate sitting in traffic alongside tons of other passenger-less cars and because I need to drop some lbs. There’s also a side of me that feels good about being good to mother earth and not shelling out tons of $$ for gas.

My bike commute to work over the past two weeks has been interesting. I’d like drop some knowledge for any non-bike people who may be reading this.

Doored (dor-ed): When someone opens their car door without looking causing a cyclist to collide with said door. Saw this happen to fellow bikers twice in the last two weeks.

Tacoed (tah-coh-ed): When any part of your bike — typically your wheel — gets bent beyond repair. This morning I witnessed a woman back into a rider and somehow bend his front wheel 90 degrees. Luckily, he was all right.

Ride safely out there friends.

It’s been over two weeks since I officially went back to school. a splash of color

My son has lots of clothes, some cool and some not so cool. Of all his outfits, there’s a few that stand out the most—those by Spanish designer Agatha Ruiz de la Prada. Her style is distinctive and fun, separating it from the browns and blues that have overtaken his drawers.

the free t-shirt

Whether you’re into running, biking, kayaking, or unicycling, you can participate in a charity event every weekend if you wanted to. I’ve participated in a wide array of events in the past and I’m starting to wonder why good design can’t make its way to non-profit organizations. I mean, sometimes the best advertisement is word [...]

I will not be afraid.

So I’ve had this urge to get a blog going over the past couple of years, but I haven’t had the ambition to really put my heart into it. What has happened to me, as with most would be bloggers, is that you just can’t commit the time to it that you aspire to. I’m [...]
